Passed AACD Written Examination

We are thrilled to share that our very own Dr. Andy Shieh has successfully passed the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s (AACD) Accreditation Written Examination, the first step in the prestigious and intensive AACD’s accreditation process, which challenges a dental professional’s foundational knowledge in cosmetic dentistry.

The accreditation written exam was administered in San Diego, CA, during the 35th Annual AACD Scientific Session.

AACD accreditation is the world’s most recognized advanced credentialing program, and it encourages further education, interaction with like-minded dental professionals, and the opportunity for professional growth. Achieving accreditation by the AACD requires dedication to continuing education, careful adherence to the protocols, and a resolve to produce exceptional cosmetic dentistry. The AACD’s accreditation program for dentists and laboratory technicians is a three-part process consisting of a written examination, 5 different types of clinical case examinations, and an oral examination.

Dr. Shieh is currently one of 18 AACD dentist practicing around Pittsburgh and one of 6 dentists that has successfully passed the AACD Accreditation Written Exam. Dr. Shieh is excited to begin the formal accreditation journey and continue to offer standard of excellence to all of our cosmetic patients.
